The debut recording from LORIS DRIFT, "The Way You Talk", is their show opener and is the first single released under their new band name. Recorded live to 4 track with sonic purist, Paul Johnson (Waxing Poetics, Fleshtones), this song represents one aspect of the band whose show ranges from raucous rockers to trippier grooves. Their first incarnation in early '95 as The Pleasantries garnered much attention from press and radio with their single "Innocence, Ignorance" - available as a 7" and featured on RPM Records' 3 Minute Revolution (MD 1996). Out of the warehouse rehearsal basements of Brooklyn and reared on the New York City downtown club scene, LORIS DRIFT plays regularly in a variety of clubs in downtown NYC and the Metro area and also makes periodic appearances on NY area commercial and college FM radio stations.
